The attendees of Sweetgreen’s Sweetlife Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion on Saturday were not daunted by the threat of rain. With a lineup that included Fitz and the Tantrums‘ blue-eyed soul, Explosions in the Sky‘s hypnotic post-rock, U.S. Royalty‘s cock-rock, Kid Cudi‘s sensitive-dude hip-hop, and Avicii‘s glittery EDM, there was a little something for everyone across the two stages. When the rain finally did come, folks packed into the pavilion for The Shins, but a good-size crowd remained at the other stage for Delta Spirit and the amazing vocals of art-goth singer Zola Jesus. “We’re not cold and wet are we?” she asked, dancing across the stage barefoot, not long before she climbed down from the stage and over the barricade to run through the crowd.
