The last we heard from D.C. rapper X.O., it was on his Monumental II mixtape, an inspired effort for the confident Diamond District MC and former Studio43 label standout.

Released today, the video for “Errybody” is the first single from his upcoming mixtape, The Color Gray, scheduled for an Oct. 1 release. Then in January, X.O. will drop a new album, Colour de Grey, on his new label, Mello Music Group, home to his Diamond District bandmates Oddisee and yU.

“Errybody” seems to reach for mainstream acceptance, but it’s still grounded enough to remain authentically street.
