Saturday night, Ted Leo played his indie-rock hymns at Mt. Pleasant’s St. Stephen Church for a benefit for Bradley Manning, the 24-year old U.S. Army intelligence analyst accused of leaking hundreds of thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks.

Leo soundchecked with Bruce Springsteen‘s “I’m Going Down,” followed that with some great new tunes from his forthcoming record, and took requests from the audience for the final 20 minutes.

Ted Leo never disappoints.
