trillectro hip hop + electronic music festival from DC to BC on Vimeo.
As I’ve said before, last year’s first Trillectro Festival was a great look for D.C. Organizers Modele “Modi” Oyewole, Quinn Coleman, and Marcel Marshall quickly put together a well-rounded festival of local and national musicians at the Fairgrounds in Southeast. Yeah, it rained, but no one seemed to care, and I wondered how they’d plan to top the inaugural event.
This year’s Trillectro will take place Aug. 3, according to the organizer’s DC to BC website. So far, Oyewole isn’t divulging the lineup or the exact location. “We think it’ll be an improvement upon last year’s festival in every way possible, from logistics to sound to marketing,” Modi says in an email. “We have an awesomely diverse line-up of artists we’re working with to make sure we set the bar high for festivals everywhere and continue to bridge the gap between hip hop and electronic music.”
Here’s hoping the duster dancer makes another appearance.
