If you weren’t already aware, women of the world, that Raheem DeVaughn is ready and willing to have sex with you, here’s a reminder. The local R&B crooner has just premiered “Love Connection,” a syrupy single dedicated to a woman who hasn’t been properly loved yet—-because she hasn’t given DeVaughn a try. “I promise that anything you can think is my command,” he cries. “I just want to give you good love/Let’s make a love connection.”

Come-ons aren’t the only thing the Grammy-nominated vocalist does, of course—-in 2011, D.C. Mayor Vince Gray presented DeVaughn with a key to the city for his admirable support of arts education, HIV/AIDS work, and other worthy causes in the District—-though it’s probably what he’s remembered most for. His 2010 track “She’s Single” came with a video so raunchy, it got kicked off YouTube.
