Back in October, we reported that the humble visage of Arlington white-collar hamlet Rosslyn was preparing for a government-sanctioned yarn bomb. The Arlington County-assisted initiative was hatched in part to help promote the neighborhood’s beleaguered arts center, Artisphere—-with the fringe benefit of transforming lower Wilson Boulevard into something other than a glorified Chipotle feeding station.

Well, the Guerrilla Stitch Brigade’s yarn-bombing project reportedly commenced yesterday, and now Rosslyn’s chain-link fences, trees, and parking-lot bollards look 75 percent less corporate. ARLnow.com brings the news and the slideshow.
