At the end of May, the hard-working DC to BC team announced the first phase of performers for the second annual Trillectro festival, promising that more would be revealed closer to the event. Last year’s inaugural Trillectro placed hip-hop and EDM in a blender at the Half Street Fairgrounds, and this year’s full lineup sticks to the script. Special guest Wale and performers Shy Glizzy, Phil Ade, Misun, Tittsworth, Casey Veggies, Two-9, RDLGDGRN, New Retro and Venus X join a bill that already incudes AP Ferg, Travis Scott, Nadastrom, DJ Slink, Alex Young, King Chip, Salva, Carnage, Gent and Jawns, Goldroom and Ghost Beach. For Wale, the the August 17 show will be his first hometown show since his third album, The Gifted, hit No. 1 on the Billboard chart, so be prepared for lots of thank yous and shit-talking.
Tickets to Trillectro can be purchased here. Loosen your tie for a day, D.C. It is on a Saturday, after all.
