Ghanians know it as Founder’s Day. Armenians celebrate their independence from the Soviet Union on this day each year. Around the world, it’s called International Peace Day. But this year in Columbia, Md., September 21 belongs to an event of greater importance to drunk college kids: Virgin Mobile FreeFest.
This morning, I.M.P.’s spokesperson announced that the annual free concert will take place the third Saturday in September (DCist predicted right) at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
