ALL YOU GARAGE-ROCK PEOPLES, the Sunwolf sound officially remains in your scuzzy wheelhouse. The D.C. trio‘s new single, “Push It,” initially seems directed at one girl, but mildly unhinged vocalist Rob “Kalani” Tifford could be singing to every single one of us sorry humans, too. “Push it like you really should,” we are told, because that’s a very garage-rock thing to do, and Sunwolf is good at such things. Less than two-and-a-half minutes later, the song ends with whistling and clapping, even if you don’t respond to its wiles.

BONUS INFORMATION: “Push It,” like everything on the band’s upcoming EP, Angel Eyes, was produced by Jerry Busher, the Fugazi sideman and general D.C. punk-rock fixture. It’s out Oct. 8. Here are some photos of the band playing Fort Reno earlier this month.
