It looks like Wale has stuck to his promise to concern himself with his fans and music as opposed to critics. On Monday, he released the remix to The Gifted’s strip-club anthem, “Clappers.” Producer Hit-Boy reworked the beat, and Wale recruits his MMG boss Rick Ross, new labelmate Fat Trel, and rising sensation Young Thug for a memorable strip club visit.

On the playful track, a confident Wale drops a fur-coat reference that might get PETA’s attention: “Animals be cross-breeding/Don’t you see my mink is draggin’?” Meanwhile, Trel bear-hugs the beat before employing his double-time flow on a verse reminiscent of his infamous Instagram account (cash, strippers, threesomes, etc.). Though this reanimated version is a slight departure from its predecessor, Hit-Boy still incorporates hand-claps and a bounce that everyone—-not just acrobatic strippers—-can dance to.
