D.C. rapper Fat Trel delivered the video for “She Fell in Love” earlier this week, his first single since joining Rick Ross‘ imprint—-and the MMG influence is strong, both in the track and the Dre Films-directed video.

Bookended by advertisements for Ross’ upcoming album, Mastermind, the video features Trel at his most tender, finding love at Ben’s Chili Bowl just like Bill Cosby did 50 years ago. Trel somehow manages to woo a lady with aggressive statements (“Pocket full of guap, tell your ex ‘Nigga, top that'”)—-perhaps his take on sweet nothings—-over Izzle the Producer‘s production.

Even with MMG’s fingerprints all over the video, it stays hyperlocal, right down to the Downtown Locker Room bags.

“She Fell in Love” will be featured on DJ ScreamsHunger Pains project, but don’t be shocked if it shows up on a future Trel release, too. It’s a bit too polished not to.
