Maryland rapper Nike Nando has been working his ass off lately. In addition to opening for L.A. everyman rapper Dom Kennedy, he performed at the Fillmore on Sunday and has been releasing new music on a weekly basis since last month. The most recent installment is a remix of Nickelus F’s “Chubby Chaser” in which Nando tacks his own verse onto to the smoky-voiced Virginia rapper’s ode to the pursuit of fat blunts and pockets.

Nando raps double-time over plodding bass and rugged guitar riffs about what he knows best—the grind: “Appetite for destruction/I rap ’til my vocals will no longer function.” Considering that he’s consistently providing fans with content, we’re inclined to believe Nando is really dedicated enough to rap until he loses his voice. Meanwhile, Nickelus F’s reference to Nickelodeon GUTS will warm the hearts of any fellow children of the ’90s.
