Another week, another new Logic song, as the Gaithersburg native enlists the help of his Def Jam labelmate Big Sean on “Alright.” On the Tae Beast-produced song, Logic seems to have found a happy medium between the frustration of “Now” and the overflowing gratitude of “While You Wait.” He reverts back to the rapid-fire flow, accepting the fact that everyone can’t love him: “I know a lot motherfuckers don’t like me, probably wanna fight me/ But I just keep the peace, no need to keep a piece/ I keep my enemies on a leash, capisce?/ I keep it real for the people I reach.”

Big Sean, fresh from performing with Ariana Grande and rubbing elbows with Jim Carrey at the White House Easter Egg Roll earlier this week, has one standout lyric, and it’s not alright: “She doin’ tricks with her pussy/I guess she’s a vagician.”

“Oh God,” indeed.

Logic’s While You Wait EP and tour will precede his Def Jam debut, which he promises is on the way. In the meantime, he’s content with life as it is.
