It’s time to up your poster game, Washingtonians. Sure, that glossy Ferris Bueller’s Day Off tribute looked cute on the walls of your dorm, but it has no place in the apartment of a discerning adult. Luckily, the National Poster Retrospecticus will visit D.C. tonight to help you out.
The Boston-based organization tours the U.S. with a display of hundreds of screen-prints by renowned artists, and they’ll be set up at Eckington’s Hole in the Sky at 7 p.m. this evening. All the posters are available for sale, so whether it’s a Mogwai concert promo or an image of a scared San Fran biker that strikes your fancy, you’ll find something to replace your faded Scarface poster or that ubiquitous photo of two girls kissing in their underwear.
Milk Cult will provide the ice cream sandwiches, you’ll provide what you want to drink and toss $5 to the organizers, and everyone will enjoy themselves.
