
If viewers learned anything from the 2011 retired-people-chorus documentary Young@Heart, it’s that older people love to perform and younger people love to watch them. The new documentary, Still Dreaming, operates under the same premise, but instead of singing classic rock songs, the senior citizens in this film come together to perform Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. And while they may have a few decades on most of the play’s characters, the performers don’t lack for experience—they’re residents of the Lillian Booth Actors Home, a New Jersey assisted-living facility for retired stage professionals. The joint comes from chef Michael Harr of Bethesda’s Food Wine & Co. and Cabin John’s Fish Taco. Among the options is a Hawaiian-themed burger with pineapple, ham, and chile mayo, as well as a veggie burger with a cheddar cheese patty topped with mushrooms, caramelized onions, lettuce, and tomato.
