Ex Hex dropped its new video for “Don’t Wanna Lose” on NME today, and it’s perhaps the earwormiest, hip-shakingest track from the band’s stellar album Rips. It’s a take on Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains, a 1982 film about a garage band of badass teenage girls, and it’ll take you straight back to the days of poufy perms and statement socks.

With all its hair-whipping and roller skating, the clip gives off the same cheeky, rockstars-just-wanna-have-fun air as the band’s videos for “Hot and Cold” and “Waterfall.” We’re starting to see an all-leopard-ensemble trend in Ex Hex, too, which no one’s gonna be mad about.

Drool over Mary Timony‘s red tights and wooden Explorer (and practice your rebel mug), then mark your calendar for Ex Hex’s free (with RSVP) all-ages show at the Georgetown Doc Martens store on February 5.
