When actress Joy Bryant posted a picture of herself in costume as D.C. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton for the new Amazon pilot Good Girls Revolt on Instagram last week, it got us thinking: which other Hollywood stars should portray D.C. political figures? Rumors have circulated that Eddie Murphy considered playing the late Marion Barry, but who could play Phil Mendelson and company with the appropriate balance of comedy and drama that’s practically guaranteed at every meeting? Below are our ideas for the 13 current councilmembers, meant purely in jest.
Use the slider to switch between the real D.C. Council and their Hollywood counterparts.
