Send all your PMA to Bad BrainsDr. Know. Last night, a number of musicians tweeted out that Bad Brains guitarist Gary Miller—aka Dr. Know—was hospitalized, allegedly on life support. Though the details on Miller’s hospitalization are still unknown, the band posted a brief note on Facebook, confirming that he is indeed in the hospital and could use the posi vibes and PMA:

The Bad Brains family ask that you please keep Gary (Dr. Know) Miller in your thoughts and prayers The family respectfully ask that their privacy be honored during this time and very much appreciate all the great energy that is being sent their way.

Positive vibes and PMA!

Last night, tweets and Facebook posts from a number musicians close to Miller—including the Dean Ween Group, Living Colour guitarist Corey Glover, and 24-7 Spyz guitarist Jimi Hazel—said that Miller was “fighting for his life” and on life support. A representative from Bad Brains’ management have not responded to multiple requests for comment.

Miller—now 57 years old and a founding member of the seminal D.C. punk-reggae band—most recently performed in D.C. last year for Foo Fighters‘ surprise 9:30 Club gig, performing a set of Bad Brains songs, under the name The Don’t Need Its, along with fellow bandmate Darryl Jenifer, Scream‘s Pete Stahl, and Dave Grohl.
