It’s hard to believe that David Bowie is no longer with us. He was one of those rare beings you kind of thought would just live forever. For those District denizens mourning the lost of the Thin White Duke, take solace with your fellow Bowie fans tonight at Malcolm X Park, where there will be a memorial and Ziggy Stardust listening party.

The event, organized by Laurenellen McCann on Facebook, will take place by the Joan d’Arc statue at Malcolm X Park at 8 p.m. tonight. “We’ll play through Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, laugh, cry, sing along, shiver, juggle babies as a goblin horde, and other acts befitting our Mr. Bowie’s legacy,” McCann writes. The music will start at 8:10 p.m. and it’s bring your own “warm beverages, blankets, and cushions.” Oh and alien attire is encouraged, but not required.

Anyway, here’s “Space Oddity:”
