Between her work with Chaz French and being highlighted on the L.A.-based radio show Soulection, Saba has really started to emerge as one of the D.C. area’s standout acts. One of her newer single, “Heartstrings,” was born out of a collaboration with Mikeyy of 94sGold, inspired relationships they had with numerous people. Soon after, she dropped another new single, “The Yellow Door Freestyle.”
Yesterday, the Silver Spring singer released a set of accompanying visuals for her single “Heartstrings.” Directed by local music videographer Maximilian Shelton of 94sGold, “Heartstrings” is a simple-yet-intriguing trip through some beautiful sights of D.C. and Montgomery County through the eyes of a young girl. From the Chinese Pavillion in the National Arboretum to the Renwick Gallery, the film uses both the star of the video, Skyla Ruiz, and beautiful environments to capture viewers, while Saba’s single sets the proper tone for the visuals.
