The “recycle bin” is the first place they look for homemade dog porn, honey.
Indiana woman Michelle Owen has been charged with “two felony bestiality counts” after two video files were found on her laptop that show Owen’s dog, a beagle named Toby, licking her vagina. The Smoking Gun reports:
Concerned that an ex-boyfriend had used her laptop to search for child pornography, the Indiana woman asked police to search the computer for illegal images, but had her plan backfire when cops discovered two videos of her engaged in illicit acts with a dog. Owen, 24, was charged last week with two felony bestiality counts in connection with the video files, which a detective found in the laptop’s “recycle bin.”
According to a police affidavit, a copy of which you’ll find here, a cop told Owen that he had found videos of her on the laptop and asked if she “knew what those files might be.” Owen, pictured in the below mug shot, replied, “The one with the dog.” Cops believe that the dog in question, Toby, is a beagle. After asking if she was “going to be charged with this,” Owen said that the videos “were just something she did when she was drunk and barely remembers it,” adding that she tried to “delete them the next day when she was sober.”
The affidavit describes the two amateur beagle porn videos in detail. From Detective Andrew Barnhart, who located the videos on Owen’s computer:
I viewed the first video file and observed a female that Iclearly recognized as the complainant, Michelle Owen. The video showed Owen, completely naked, saying “It’s playing” and then walking away from the camera to a bed with a dog on it and lying down. A male, whom I recognized as her ex-boyfriend Heath Pierle from his Spillman entry, then entered the video, got on the bed, and began to rub something on Owen’s vagina. Owen then picked up a jar of something, scooped some out with her fingers, and also rubbed it on her own vagina. During the application of the substance, both Pierle and Owen can be heard saying, “Toby come here.” Pierle then pointed to Owen’s vagina, and the dog walked over and began to lick it. Owen can be seen smiling as the dog licked her vagina. This video file was 31 seconds in length.
The second video file again showed Michelle Owen fully unclothed and messing with the camera. She walked away from the camera with a cigarette in her hand and got on the bed with her vagina exposed to the camera. She then said, “Toby come here,” and began rubbing her vagina. The dog then jumped onto the bed and began to lick her vagina as Owen closed her eyes and leaned her head back. The dog then appeared to lose interest and walked out of view of the camera as Owen continued to rub her vagina and smoke her cigarette. This video file was 1 minute and 11 leconds in length.
The incident is clearly prohibited under Indiana law, which defines “bestiality” as follows:
I thought that bestiality laws were still on the books for two reasons: (a) to formally announce that society is disgusted by those who have sex with animals, and (b) to protect the animal, which cannot consent to sexual contact. But does Owen deserve to be convicted of a felony because she performed an act involving her human sex organ and Toby’s canine mouth? Let’s look at what forms of animal cruelty are deemed misdemeanors under Indiana law:
Well, excuse me, but Toby appears to be consenting here. It took nothing more than a “Toby, come here” to get him involved in the sex act; when Toby “appeared to lose interest,” he was not forced to continue. Owen didn’t sodomize Toby, much less place him in a decompression chamber then lower the oxygen content in the air surrounding him: She just let him eat off her ladyparts. Sure, Toby may not be consenting to having the sex act videotaped and possibly distributed, but are we really worried about Toby’s reputation here? He’s a fucking dog.
No, Owen’s being punished for doing something super gross, and also for allowing the cops to search her laptop. There are lessons here: (a) You probably should never ask a dog to eat off your vagina, and (b) you should definitely Never give your computer to the cops.
