GREEN CHRISTMAS AT ST. ALBANS: PLAN TO ATTEND THE CHRISTMAS HOUSE TOUR

WASHINGTON, DC — It is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas as St. Albans School’s Parents Association kicks off the 26th annual St. Albans Christmas House Tour. This year’s event promises to be spectacular, with five elegant homes on display, a delicious holiday luncheon and fabulous boutique shopping just in time to celebrate the season.
Mark your calendars for Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th. The House Tour theme this year is “A Green Christmas”with a focus on recycling and sustainability for future green Christmases.
This year’s tour, featuring five beautiful homes in Georgetown , festively decorated for the holidays, takes place on Friday, December 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Each featured house has distinctive architectural elements, and the stunning interiors vary as well. Leading floral designers will transform each home with unique Christmas and seasonal decorations, and students from both St. Albans and National Cathedral Schools will provide musical accompaniment and Christmas Carols. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased on the St. Albans campus the day of the event. Complimentary shuttle buses will be provided between St. Albans School and Georgetown .
A delicious holiday luncheon will be served in the St. Albans Refectory on Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets for the luncheon are $15 and can be purchased on site.
In addition to the luncheon, visitors will be thrilled with many specialty boutiques that will be open for shopping both days in the St. Albans Refectory. Admission to this area, open on Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., is free.
All proceeds from the House Tour benefit St. Albans faculty and staff. St. Albans School for boys is located on the corner of Wisconsin and Massachusetts Avenues, NW, on the south side of the Washington National Cathedral Close.
