Do you have a plan to vote?

Let us tell you the information you need to register and cast a ballot in D.C.

No, no, no: I will not be nominating and then choosing my own blog in this category. That’s off the table.

But nearly every day I peruse other local real estate and development blogs, so I figured why not acknowledge some of the good work they do. A few to consider…

(1) Greater, Greater Washington: Meaty posts on development and transportation issues with city planning buzzwords—-“smart growth,” “walkable communities,”—-aplenty. (Washingtonian just did an interview with lead blogger David Alpert).

(2) DC Metrocentric: “New Buildings, Construction, Destruction, Planning, Real Estate, and Gossip as it happens in the Nation’s Capital,” as the website states. Plus great photography and images and a good eye for spotting interesting buildings and projects around the area.

(3)BuildingDC: Constant updates about what’s going on the market, what’s going on the auction block, plus financing advice and plenty of other real estate-related news.

(4)UrbanTurf: Bills itself as “The D.C. Real Estate Guide” with constant neighborhood and new building profiles.

(5)DCMud: Constant reports on development and building news around the area.

(6)Prince of Petworth: The “Prince” has expanded his kingdom from Petworth to central Northwest in general, and he’s always got his ears open and his camera ready covering interesting architecture and new developments in the area.
