Analysis: The 20007 zip code is one of the most stable places to buy in Washington D.C., according to data pulled together by the Washington Post. The area had fewer sales in 2008 compared to 2007 (199 v. 237). But the median home price climbed to $1.075 million from the previous year’s $909,150. This home, clearly not the most extravagant, last sold in 2004 for $850,000. According to its listing history, it was put back on the market in late 2007 for roughly 1.3 million, but didn’t sell at that time.
