Here’s another chart from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG). It seems like a pretty good quality of life indicator, probably better than Forbes’ recent “Most Livable Cities” list. Forgeting the NoVa traffic challenges, Arlingtonians are remarkably pleased with what this area has to offer, as are Alexandrians. D.C. and several closer-in suburban counties are quite satisfied, thank you very much. And then the responses tend to get less wholeheartedly enthusiastic. Man, give the people of Frederick a soccer field or something. They’re starving for “excellent or good” ammenities.
