The Washington Business Journal is reporting that foreclosures in the city jumped 42 percent, comparing April 2009 to April 2008. That brings us to 398 properties.
If there’s any silver lining in these stats, its that the new numbers may assist the District in acquiring stimulus money for rehabbing foreclosed and abandoned properties—-something, it was planning on doing already.
