Constitution Square

The Noma Business Improvement District‘s latest newsletter came out last week. I’ve marveled in the past about the fast-moving changes in the area. (Some of this information has been reported before, so sorry—-It won’t be the first time in the history of blog production.) Here’s a progress report on various construction projects:

What’s done:

The project: 1100 First, a 12-story, 347,000-square-foot office building
Location:1100 First Street!
Completion date: Almost here.

What’s getting there:

The project: Loree Grand at Union Place, NoMa’s “first residential project.” Phase I will include 212 units with 30 designated as affordable housing.
Location: 250 K Street, N.E.
Completion date: “Later this year” for phase 1.

What’s halfway done:

The project: One Constitution Square, 340,000-square-feet of office space.
Location: First Street and N Street NE
Completion date: Spring 2010

What’s just getting started:

The project: The Washington Center (TWC)’s 140,000 square foot, 95-unit housing facility in NoMa.
Location: The northeast corner of Third and K Streets
Completion date: August of 2010
Cost:
$38 million
