This Saturday, the city is hosting a “DC Homeownership Expo and Foreclosure Clinic” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center.
Attendees will be able to get free credit reports and check out workshops “covering a wide variety of topics, including avoiding foreclosure, senior housing resources, home rehabilitation, homeownership, and confronting neighborhood blight,” according to a press release from the Department of Housing and Community Development.
“SunTrust, Bank of America, OneWest Bank, Chase Bank and Wells Fargo loan specialists will be available on-site to discuss mortgage loans with clients. In addition, local lenders, realtors, housing developers and government agencies will be on hand to provide attendees with valuable information on housing opportunities,” the release states.
