Earlier today, I wrote about Vijay K. Taneja, a Bollywood film producer and promoter, and his two sprawling former homes. In January, Taneja was sentenced to seven years in prison for his involvement in a multi-million dollar mortgage scam.
His Fairfax property was auctioned off in November. Then, today, auctioneers Tranzon Fox announced the sale of a second Taneja-owned house. Oddly enough, it looks practically identical to his first sold mansion.

Ultimately, the Fairfax home is a bit grander with more sports facilities—-an indoor pool with retractable roof, an indoor squash and racquetball court, and tennis/basketball/sport court with lights. But many features are similar, and from various angles, the palatial houses are practically interchangeable.
I haven’t been able to find any information on why Taneja built the same home twice. You’d think one would be enough.
