City Paper is not for tourists
First, there was a rumor. Then, there was a website.
And since you can always count on some former Hammerite to repeat the news as soon as it starts swirlingaround, it’s time to start talking about SN Residential, Jack Shoptaw‘s latest project. “SN Residential will be opening their door on January 1, 2010. For any real estate needs prior to that date, contact Jack or Susan today!” states its one page website. I’ve been told that SN Residential has been reaching out to high-end developers to do their sales and marketing, though with three generic pictures—-one of a bucolic, farm area—-the company’s website isn’t exactly revelatory.
It does state, however, that SN Residential will be located at 1010 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Suite 250—-home to Shoptaw Design, the group Shoptaw started after Hammer Communications closed its doors.
This time, Shoptaw is teaming up with Susan Nixon, the former publisher of Capitol File, who announced her resignation roughly a month ago, according to the Washington Examiner. Prior to her job there, she was the “founder and publisher of Washington Spaces, the premier shelter magazine in the metropolitan region, owned by GWPI, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Washington Post Inc. Before starting Washington Spaces, Susan was associate publisher of the Metropolitan Washington New Homes Guide for 15 years,” blog Fishbowl DC reported a while back.
