The North Hall, roughly a month and a half before Eastern Market reopened in June.
Since it reopened last June, Eastern Market‘s North Hall has remained curiously empty and under-used. Every time I’ve visited in the last few months (just a handful), there have been a couple of people roaming around up there, plus some tables, and that’s the gist of it.
But the Department of Real Estate Services just announced this morning that the hall—-a 3,500 square foot event space—-is now available to rent day or night 365 days a year.
The announcement said there was “a graduated rental fee schedule” support(ing) “a wide range of budgets.” (I put in a call for more details, and will post again when I have some numbers to share.)
For more information, contact Barry Margeson, Interim Market Manager at 202-741-0940 or barry.margeson@dc.gov with the Department of Real Estate Services.
