If you’re trying to track down schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee, you’ll need to head to a different building starting early next year.

Both the central offices for D.C. Public Schools and the District Department of the Environment are moving to 1200 First Street N.E. in NoMa next year, the Department of Real Estate Services just announced.

According to the press release, “the moves will reduce the amount of space the agencies occupy by at least 20 percent,” part of an overall strategy to leave behind more than 700,000 square feet of lease space in the next few years.

The moves will occur in February.

*Clarification: Both offices are already technically in NoMa . DCPS is further down North Capitol Street, and DDOE is located on N Street NE.
