Today is Washington’s slow, aching emergence from the weekend’s snowy dream world. Most street corners look like small, polluted, arctic lakes. Metro claims it is “back in business,” but that just means a train’s going to come at some point, eventually. Of course, D.C. area federal agencies have a snow day, and many kids do too. But really, this thing is over. Way past its glory period—-where the world looks completely different and is changing every hour, and crazy shit goes down.
So in efforts to hold on, I give you this video of a bus fishtailing across 18th Street, first posted on DCist on Saturday (it was captured by DCist contributor Ian Buckwalter). I just can’t convince myself that anyone wants real news just yet. Maybe by noon things will change:
