The Parks Department had its final design meeting for Bloomingdale’s Gage-Eckington park last night, and ANC 5C Commissioner John Salatti kindly passed along a copy of the schematic:
There’s also a set of photos with all the vegetation and a whopping set of playsystems, complete with 3D-looking little people.
Neighbors have been through a few close shaves in getting to this stage—first a contracting issue, then Councilmember Harry Thomas‘ funding flip-flop (Left for Ledroit has the play-by-play). Now, it appears ready to go, with $1.5 million securely in place.
