Just in time for summer! (Lydia DePillis)

This at least happened in the last couple of days. The disappearance of Maggie Moo’s on 18th Street, after it vacated its spot on U Street, means that the chain has completely given up on Washington D.C. Cold Stone Creamery also only has locations in Virginia and Maryland. With the exception of Giffords downtown, it seems like D.C. is rapidly becoming a gelato-and-froyo town.

For your evening ice cream cravings, Housing Complex recommends Adams Morgan Coffeeshop, just a few blocks south of MM’s erstwhile location. It opened three months ago, and seems to have less business than it really deserves.
