The District Department of Transportation and Arlington County have found a name for their new Capital region bike sharing thing: “Capital Bikeshare.” (Not the catchiest moniker, but hey, neither is “Kitty,” which most cats end up being called anyway.) At 1,100 new bikes spread out over 114 stations in the region, there should be almost enough for the the 1,164 people who voted on the system’s new name.

The system is expected to be up and running this fall.
