I’m a a press conference where this is being announced, but for now, here’s who will own what on the 113-acre former Walter Reed Army Medical Center complex:
Last year, the Local Redevelopment Authority allocated buildings to several different organizations using a different footprint. Since then, the General Services Administration decided it no longer needs any of the campus, the State Department and the District have carved it up differently. Now, D.C. will get all the land front on Georgia Avenue as well as the mammoth Building 2. More updates on what’s going to happen with all this when I return.
