Unusually for American bathrooms, the facilities at Karrick Hall on the campus of D.C. General Hospital—-home of the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency Reentry and Sanctions Center—-are unisex. I guess peeing with your own gender is one of those personal privileges you lose while working your way through the criminal justice system. As is personal bathing, if the framed sign in the otherwise stripped-bare bathroom is to be believed. Which means you’ll just have to cleanse yourself of your misdeeds metaphorically instead.
