Turns out the Realtors have an idea from where it might go: The sliver of land in front of the National Park Service in front of their headquarters at 500 New Jersey Avenue (which is already quite a handsome building). A spokeswoman notes that the NPS will make the final determination, but it sure would be convenient to have the memorial you paid for in a place where you can see it on a daily basis. Of course, if they were in any other city, they might just be able to buy the land and build the memorial themselves, but in D.C., that requires getting a bill through Congress.
