No, it won’t be the same kind of oddly incongruous addition that’s irked neighbors around the city. But 915 F Street, the former Platinum nightclub that Douglas Development bought back in August, is slated to get a couple floors added on top. The Historic Preservation Office has given the nod to R2L Architects’ sketch of roughly how it would look—-even at 50 feet tall, the addition won’t be visible from the street—-with detailed renderings to come.
Douglas is looking around for a high-end restaurant-type tenant, but hasn’t announced any leases yet.
