Not long after putting a new 22-unit, Eric Colbert-designed condo building at Georgia Avenue and Hobart Place NW on the market, developer Art Linde told the Georgia Avenue Community Development Task Force last week that he’s building another 26 condos with one level of underground parking across the street. Market-rate condos sure do add to the buying power of a neighborhood, and are themselves a strong sign of confidence—-just more evidence that the corridor’s paved with gold.
