So says the marketing material for UDR’s apartment complex rising on 14th Street north of Florida Avenue. The newly-christened “Capitol View on 14th” decided to play things safe, mirroring the View14 across the street, which UDR bought for a record-breaking price last year.
Rents aren’t available yet, but a pet will run you $600 plus $50 per month, and a reserved parking space costs $245 per month.
UPDATE, 4:38 p.m. – Just got some more info on pricing and amenities from the UDR people:
The Capitol View lobby will feature a Zen Garden and waterfall and a Persian Detailed glass ceiling. There will also be retail space on the first level of the building. The rooftop pool and lounge area will feature green space and phenomenal views of the Nation’s Capitol.
All apartment homes will have espresso wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops with bamboo flooring throughout.
Pricing for studios will begin at $2000 and range upward from there.
Our temporary leasing office will be opening on or about June 01, 2012 and we will have our first move-ins late September, 2012.
Persian glass ceilings! My goodness.
