Back in October, the Shops at Dakota Crossing started moving forward without the second big anchor tenant it had banked on—-Target—-as the rest of the pieces of the long-stalled development fell into place. Developer Fort Lincoln Realty Partners promised it had a neighbor for Costco in the works, and it looks like they’re about to deliver: Company president Michele Hagans said today that she’s in final negotiations for a 130,000 square foot spot, and should be able to announce the new tenant in the next couple of weeks.
If you want to play the big box guessing game, it could be Lowe’s, which originally said was going into the Walmart development in Ward 5 and has since bailed (but it’s not Burlington Coat Factory, which already signed on to replace it). It could always be Wegmans. Hell, it could be a monster truck arena. You never know.
