How bad is it out there for restaurants? So bad that Open Table has launched a Restaurant Week-like promotion called, cringe, the Appetite Stimulus Plan. From Nov. 17-21 (all weekdays, mind you), you can get a three-course lunch or dinner for $24 and $35 respectively at nearly 150 different restaurants. It’s a little pricier than RW for lunch but virtually the same for dinner.
The good folks over at Capital Spice already have tons of details and recommendations for the upcoming week. The trick, it seems, is to book a reservation through Open Table, then ask (with a straight face) for the Appetite Stimulus Plan menu. I have no idea what those menus will look like, but I hope all of you will fill me in as you learn more.
