The Bebo Trattoria chef and owner had already passed out 35 pounds of tortellini, and he was leaving. It was 7:35 p.m. The event had been going for only 95 minutes. It would continue for another two hours.
Donna blamed his early exit on the basil cream sauce that smothered his pasta.
When people heard that he was serving cream sauce, Donna said, “the word spread like a disease.” “Everybody loves cream sauce.”
