As always, Monday means you can count on a special guest tap night at Room 11. This week is Great Divide Belgica, the Colorado brewery’s Belgian-style IPA. Tuesday and Wednesday you can head out to either of the Dogfish Head Alehouses in Virginia for beer dinners, and also on Wednesday is the Beer vs. Wine dinner at Brabo in Alexandria. On Saturday, The Alchemy of Great Taste, a fundraising event for John Tyler Elementary School, will fill Eastern Market’s North Hall with food, wine, and beer from H Street businesses like Granville Moore’s and Sticky Rice. Get more details by clicking on an event in the calendar.
There is also a good reason to stay in this week. Antigoon, Brasserie Beck’s commissioned beer from Brouwerij de Musketiers in Ursel, Belgium, has become more widely available in DC. A few area stores have had Antigoon since mid-February, but we noticed the strong, dry-hopped blond ale appear on shelves in several DC shops over the last few days. Get your own severed hand-laden 750mL bottle for $11.99 at Whole Foods on P Street or $13.99 at Connecticut Avenue Wine & Deli.
