If you haven’t noticed yet, it’s food-cart season, which is a decidedly mixed blessing here in the District, where our street offerings still lean toward the juvenile: dirty-water dogs, chips, and a soda.
So will anything be different this spring? Will our streets be awash with better options? And of the current crop of food carts and trucks, which are worth your time?
Host David Furst and I will talk about all that, and more, today on Metro Connection. You can hear the program at 1 p.m. on WAMU, 88.5 FM. The show will be rebroadcast at 5 a.m. Saturday, for those people who want to continue their Friday night partying until the early morning hours. Or something like that.
