Here’s a good idea: Instead of bloggers gathering in the name of their own shared interests (not that there’s anything wrong with that), a small army of online writers is pooling talents to raise money for Haiti.

You remember Haiti, right? Still not so great there.

Thrifty DC Cook, Adventures in Shaw, Not Derby Pie,  and One Bite At A Time have organized nearly 20 bloggers and/or local foodies to contribute sweets to a bake sale on Sunday at Zorba’s Cafe on Dupont Circle. It’ll be a whirlwind affair. The sale will run for two hours only, from 9 to 11 a.m. on Sunday.

So get there early and have your cash ready.

Proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders. Leftover baked goods will be donated to N Street Village.
