[CORRECTION: Make that later this month.] Dogfish Head Squall IPA, in all its hoppy splendor, will be hitting a few select locations in Virginia today this month. This bottle-conditioned, unfiltered Imperial IPA is dry-hopped with six different varieties of American hops and has a nice alcohol content of 9%.

This sought-after hop monster was released in very limited quantity along the Eastern seaboard in June. We hear there could be just as few bottles in the area this time, so as the brewery suggests, “seek it out…and hoard it from the non-believers.”

According to our source, you will find 750mL bottles of Sam Calagione’s self-proclaimed “hoppiest beer yet” at Rick’s Wine & Gourmet in Alexandria and Whole Foods in Clarendon. A few places a little further out will have bottles this week in the next few weeks as well: Norm’s Beer & Wine in Vienna and the Whole Foods stores in Fair Lakes, Falls Church, and Reston.

No news yet on when Squall IPA will be arriving in D.C. or where they will be, but we’ll keep you posted and hope you will do the same.
