Success! You're on the list.

GQ editor Adam Rapaport appeared on “The Early Show” on CBS a couple of weeks ago, promoting his magazine’s list of 50 beers that every self-respecting drinker should experience. (The best part may well be the list’s title: “I’d Tap That!”) Now, lists like these are proliferating almost by the day. GQ’s version is pretty darn good, and if you have the patience to flip through it online, we’re confident you’ll agree. We were a little disappointed, though, at the beers Rapaport selected for his CBS appearance: Allagash White, Hennepin, Dale’s Pale Ale, Rodenbach Grand Cru, Anchor Steam, and Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout.  Not that he picked bad beers—he didn’t—but they certainly are of the safer, crowd-pleasing variety as compared to many of the others on the GQ list. Then again, maybe the safer stuff is a better way to ease the Bud-guzzling viewing public into the idea that there’s more to beer than yellow fizz water.

Still, we would love to have seen something a bit more adventurous. What beers would you have picked?
